Described as an ultimate look inside another person’s faith. When Ada Nicholson Brownell was a child, a Christian neighbor witnessed to her mother every day. You must come to this revival! “The family did everything to get rid of her,” the author recalls. Then Ada’s older sister attended the church known as the “holy rollers” at the invitation of a teenage friend. The positive changes in Marjorie were so evident one by one all 10 members of her family were born again and received the Pentecostal experience. Ada tells of those childhood days; the joy and singing in the Pentecostal home; and witnessing miracles and signs and wonders. The author’s search for spiritual fulfillment has not been without trials, sickness, and disappointments. But God has given abiding strength and a vibrant faith to overcome problems. Her inspiring confession of faith will encourage and bless believers everywhere.
Confessions of a Pentecostal edition by Ada Brownell Religion Spirituality eBooks
This was a great book showing how the life of a believer can and should be an ever-unfolding adventure. I appreciate how Ada shared her journey of faith and growth in the things of the Spirit. What an awesome ministry to children, young adults and "grown up's" she's had! Enjoyed the insight in the section on argumentative persuasion and logic. I had never considered that evolution and atheism take more faith than Christianity. "Everyone lives by faith." Hard to say which portion resonated with me the most, but perhaps "Christianity is the only religion that puts a song in the heart." So true! Her book is full of riches. "It all goes back to my thirst in the desert." Yes! Thank you, Ada! "Walking in the Light IS a wonderful way to live." Hebrews 5:14 ~ practicing!!Product details

Confessions of a Pentecostal edition by Ada Brownell Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
In this book, Ada shares her thoughts and memories of being raised in a large family "out west". It is an inspiring true tale that sheds light and insight on family life. Ada is a professional writer who tells her stories in a concise and interesting manner. It's a quick but great read.
I am not from the branch of Christianity that calls themselves Pentecostal. So I was not sure what to expect when I read this book. But I do know that each denomination has expectations of what it takes to be a "good" Christian. And that sometimes the hardest part of being a Christian is dealing with other people, and their expectations of us.
I enjoyed Ada's journey. I enjoyed learning a bit about the focus of the Pentecostal Christian. Just change the details a bit and it is every Christian's journey. This book was worth the reading.
This is an interesting read especially if you are a religious person, something the author definitely is.Ada Brownell tells stories of how her religion has helped not only her, but her family and friends. I found the book intriguing and with some great heart touching moments inside. The author doesn't use her religion to preach at people, but to try and help them in their every day lives.
Confessions of a Pentecostal is an inspiring uplifting story by Ada Brownell in finding her fulfillment in life with Jesus Christ as her all in all through His Spirit and truth of God’s Word. Brownell journey from a non-believing family to one of total commitment to God with the Pentecostal experience will encourage readers to become stronger in their own Christian life. The Pentecostal experience is real and will change one’s life as is brought to light with the author’s own experience, family members and others. Despite the struggles of life Brownell faced she always found the truths of the Pentecostal experience was real and God was always there to call upon. Individuals who want to know more about the Pentecostal experience will find this book gripping in how genuine it is for souls hungry for more of God and the power of a life changing experience. This amazing story of Ada Brownell proved that time and time again.
I look forward to reading more of Brownell’s writings. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author as a winner on a blog post. I was not required to write a positive review but have expressed my own sincere thoughts.
